What's The Hype About Barkbox?

I swear it was just Wednesday yesterday... But welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell you about Barkbox.

If you are not a dog owner or keep up with the latest pet industry trends, you might have never heard of Barkbox. Barkbox is a monthly subscription service for dog owners to provide their pets with products, services, and experiences. I never heard of Barkbox either until I was dog sitting and a packaged arrived at the door for the dog!

So how does Barkbox work? It's simple. Dog owners go to www.barkbox.com, they choose their dog’s size, subscription length, and wait for Bark Box to arrive in the mail!

The monthly subscription prices are:
1 month Bark Box Plan for $29 per month
6 month Bark Box Plan for $25 per month
12 month Bark Box Plan for $21 per month.

The dog sizes are:
BarkBox aka “Small & Cute”: 0-10 pounds
Medium BarkBox aka “Just Right”: 20-50 pounds
Big BarkBox aka “Big & Bold”: 50+ pounds

Once the Bark Box is ordered, each month the dog will receive four to six items customized for the pooch. Every box has at least two all-natural healthy bags of treats, two innovative & super fun dog toys, and a dog chew. But the best part about the Bark Box is that every month is a mystery. You just don't know what type of toys, chews, and treats will arrive. However, each Bark Box has a monthly theme that goes with the season. This month's theme is "Night at the Squakeasy"- how clever! BarkBox describes the theme saying "It’s the Ruffing Twenties, we’re ready to party, dogs & dolls! Come down to the Squeakeasy for hot jazz, yappin’ flappers, and pooch hooch. It’s the cat’s pajamas!—scratch that - the dog's pajamas!"

However, is BarkBox worth it? Well, if you regularly buy your dog toys and treats and they aren't picky, BarkBox might be the option for you. The Barkbox monthly subscription prices are worth it if you are spending at least 20 or more dollars a month on your dog. However, one of my clients, Lisa Terry didn't have the experience she expected. She said her dog didn't like the stuff that came in the box. So the only thing I can suggest is to give it a try! I think Barkbox is a very creative and unique service for dogs but the only way you will know is if you try for yourself! You can even watch YouTube videos of dog owners and pets opening their BarkBox.
